iPhone 16 Series Launch: Reveal Date, Pre-Order Timeline, and Sales Predictions

When will Apple release the iPhone 16 series, when will they start preorders and when will the sale start? Using the information derived from the industry and well-known experts, such as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, it is possible to explicate the details of Apple’s plans, which in its turn helps to predict the timeline with a fair degree of accuracy.

Thanks to Gurman, other sources have also identified the same date of reveal as has Tom’s Guide which has stated that Apple plans on revealing the iPhone 16 on September 10. This date is key to the entire launch process, while pre-orders might start as soon as Friday September 13, and the actual phones themselves being available the following Friday September 20. Also, the new leaks from CNMO News, there are indications that iPhone 16 Pro Max will be priced the same way like iPhone 15 Pro Max priced at $1199. 

While the source of CNMO News has not the same level of credibility as Mark Gurman, the constant in the proposed date strengthens this prognosis. Though a reveal date remains out of the question, as September 10 gets closer, it appears more and more plausible. However, Gurman introduces a new clue regarding Apple’s thinking, or more precisely, Apple Intelligence. 

Apple has noted that Apple Intelligence will distinguish the iPhone 16 series from other models. However, this feature may take time to be in the market earlier than september which is their usual launching period. Contrary to isolating the release of the iPhone 16, Gurman notes how Apple still intends to launch on time even if Apple Intelligence cannot be until October at the earliest. It remains far from the timing in 2011 when the iPhone 4S release was scheduled to the same date with iCloud and Siri’s preparedness. 

For the iPhone, Apple has been using September since 2011 but this year poses that bit of a different challenge because Apple Intelligence is not due until a month later.
